Avocado Brownies

It's bank holiday and I fancied something sweet so I raided the cupboard. Annoyingly I had nothing in that would satisfy my sweet tooth so I thought throw something together and create brownies.
I've read somewhere that a secret to a good textured brownie is Avocados and I happened to have a large, perfectly ripened one. Normally I'd be happy just eating an avocado on its own but I wanted to incorporate it into my brownie mixture.
They turned out to be fudgey, gooey and delicious so I had to share!

  • 1 large ripe avocado.
  • 1 Tablespoon of melted butter.
  • 1 Egg.
  • 4 Tablespoons of Maple Syrup.
  • 3 Tablespoons of Cocoa Powder.
  • 3 Tablespoons of Gluten Free Flour.
  • 2 Bars of Dairy Free Chocolate.

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Line a tin with baking paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mush up the avocado. Make sure its really smooth!
  3. Add in the melted butter, egg, maple syrup and cocoa powder and mix together.
  4. Once smooth, stir in the flour.
  5. Break up the chocolate and add it in.
  6. Put mixture in baking tray.
  7. Cook for about half an hour. Or until you get a clean knife from the mix.
  8. Leave to cool for about 20 minutes.
  9. Cut up and enjoy!
