Winter Porridge - Alpro Oat Milk

Hey Guys!

As you all should know, the lovely guys at Alpro already have an awesome range of natural milks which are free from gluten and dairy, making them ideal for literally anyone!! I use their almond milk in most of my porridge's, smoothies, cereals etc... 

So, they have now released a new product made from Oats!!

Oats are a great source of fibre and this milk has a lovely subtle taste without being too sweet or overpowering. It is also Wheat Free and Dairy Free... Be careful though if you have an intolerance to oats as it is normal oats rather than gluten free oats. 

Below I've shared with you my simple recipe for warming porridge, ideal for the christmas months. 

Ingredients.

  • 200ml Alpro Oat Milk
  • 50g Porridge Oats
  • Dried Cranberries
  • 1 Banana
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon 
  • Nuts and Seeds for topping
  1. Chop up the banana into small chunks and put in a pan with the oats, cinnamon and milk. 
  2. Simmer in the pan for about 4-5 minutes, or until it is a creamy texture. 
  3. Pour into the bowl and top with dried cranberries, nuts, seeds and of course, peanut butter!
